Job description


Otolaryngology Private Practice in Torrance CA is looking for an experienced Physician Assistant with strong clinical skills, pleasant speaking voice and demeanor and excellent communication skills. The Physician Assistant will work closely with our ENT providers to provide clinical/allergy services to both children and adults. The ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated and willing to learn all aspects of Allergy and ENT. This position requires both in person and over the phone interactions so communication and customer service skills are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Assure quality care by adhering to standards set by the physicians
  • Evaluation and management of the full spectrum of the ear, nose and throat conditions
  • Diagnose medical problems, recommend options and courses of action for patient care, and issue appropriate prescriptions
  • Perform examinations, minor procedures such as nasal endoscopy, injections, ear wax removal, incision and drainage, pre and post-operative care and wound care.
  • Document patient care services by charting in the EHR in an accurate and timely manor
  • Explain the diagnosis, treatments, plan of care and prognosis
  • Monitor patients progress through, various types of follow up care and make treatment adjustments as necessary
  • Handle emergent medical situations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, sleep studies to help identify and develop a care management plan.
  • Responsible for implementing goals and objectives of the company pertaining to the clinic’s productivity
  • Adhere to compliance guidelines throughout processes (OSHA, FDA, HIPAA)
  • Support our clinical trials by identifying candidates and following patients through the studies.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must maintain a current and valid PA license in the state of California and must maintain a current and valid DEA certificate without restrictions
  • CPR, ACLS, and/or BCLS Certification
  • Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance
  • Experience working in a clinical office setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Two years experience working in a clinical setting - Otolaryngology preferred
