• Join an established, collaborative Cardiovascular Surgery team
• First assist in complex open-heart and thoracic surgical procedures
• Perform Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting (EVH) for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and other procedures

Your Role

As a Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional surgical care by:

• Serving as First Assist during open-heart and thoracic surgical procedures
• Performing Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting (EVH) with precision and expertise
• Managing patients before and after surgery in the ICU and telemetry units
• Conducting patient assessments, treatment planning, and postoperative management
• Collaborating closely with cardiothoracic surgeons, anesthesiologists, intensivists, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Helping ensure outstanding patient outcomes through coordinated, evidence-based care

Qualifications

We're seeking an experienced clinician who brings both technical expertise and a commitment to compassionate patient care.

Requirements include:

• Current PA-C certification
• California Physician Assistant license (or eligibility)
• Prior cardiothoracic surgery experience required
• Extensive First Assist experience in cardiac surgery
• Proficiency performing Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting (EVH)
• Strong critical care experience managing post-operative ICU and telemetry patients
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
